Exciting thing I did today...
I bought a glass water bottle! Yay!
This is exciting because I've been wanting one for a while now, but I've resisted because I'm worried Nick thinks I'm turning into a hippie!
I purchased this bottle from Ello Products. You can find some of their products at Target stores.
I am going to post soon on our most recent change around the Wenner house. We're trying to make our home as chemical-free as possible. I know its not realistic to get rid of everything at once, so we are taking baby steps. First steps have been to try to keep our fridge and pantry full of clean, whole, and mostly unprocessed foods and drinks, as well as ridding our house of harmful cleaning, laundry, kitchen and bathroom "cleaning" products... do you know what's in all that crap?! Its so bad for us to live surrounded by all these toxins and chemicals. And its so expensive. When I gathered all the cleaning chemicals I've purchased over the years that stock our laundry room and bathroom cupboards, I can't begin to imagine how much money we've wasted on this stuff. Keeping our home chemical-free is a way I feel I can simplify too. Its become very important to me and I feel its such a great way to improve the quality of our home. Nick is liking it too... I'm glad he has an awareness and curiosity for these things as well. He's been a good sport as I've changed just about all his products... toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, etc.
A little preview... Here is what I all found when I set out to get rid of chemicals and toxic cleaning products around the house:
I have come up with a few simple solutions to replace all the above chemicals and I'll share them soon!

i'm excited to see the rest of the updates! my mom did this a while ago, and i was really in awe of how inexpensive it was, and how much better it was for us. i will be doing this when we have a house with more room to make my own cleaning products! (i've already made joe change his toothpaste, but i'm not sure if he's going to allow me to change his deoderant haha)
